In October, 2017 Prof Kwesi Yankah presented a copy of his book titled THE MISSING PAGES OF JUNE 4TH to the late President Jerry John Rawlings at his Ridge Residence.

The book is a compilation of 55 episodes written in a satirical form by Prof Yankah, under the pseudo name “Abonsam Fireman”.

It is inspired by issues in two military regimes (General Frederick William Kwasi Akuffo’s Supreme Military Council Two and Flight Lieutenant Jerry John Rawlings’ June 4th Revolution) and one civilian government (Dr Hilla Limann’s People’s National Convention).

The book allows a veiled peep into the most turbulent period in Ghana’s political history, Rawlings’ June 4th Revolution, including preceding events and the aftermath of the Revolution.

At the time of the June 4th Revolution, Prof Yankah, then a young lecturer at the University of Ghana, was nicked named Madina Rawlings for his ardent belief and support for the revolution.

In the light of the sudden death of His Excellency JJ Rawlings, we recount here for the records Prof Yankah’s writings on the June 4th Revolution a book on which was launched in October 2017
