PROF YANKAH DONATES GHC 20,000 WORTH OF HEALTH MATERIALS AGAINST COVID-19 FIGHT IN AGONA EAST
The Minister of State in charge of Tertiary Education, Prof Kwesi Yankah, has donated health materials worth over 20,000 cedis towards the fight against coronavirus in Agona East.
On Friday, 27th March, 2020, the Minister started the distribution of the items which included over 2,000 pieces of 100ml hand sanitizers, over 200 veronica buckets, 500 pieces of 100ml liquid soup, some 500 nose masks among others to health facilities and market centres in Agona East.
The Minister, together with the District Chief Executive of Agona East, made the donations to about 20 health facilities and some 8 market centres in the District.
The donation forms part of the Minister’s commitment in the fight against the global pandemic of coronavirus in Agona East.
Some of the health facilities that benefited from his kind gesture included Nsaba District Hospital, Duakwa Salvation Army Polyclinic, Asafo Health Centre, Kwanyako Health Centre, Mankrong Polyclinic. Others were Kwesitwikwaa, Kenyako, Mensakrom, Ninta CHPS compounds.
Market centres in Nsaba, Duakwa, Kwansakrom, Asafo, Kwanyako, Mankrong Nkwanta among others also benefited from the kind gesture.
