Viva Kiddikare – Agona Swedru Donates to Sasakwaa AEDA Basic School

On Friday 17th February, 2023, the Viva Kiddiekare, located at Agona Swedru, donated school uniforms and other learning materials to the pupils of Sasakwaa AEDA Basic School in the Agona East District.

The Viva Kiddiekare which was led by Mr. & Mrs. Asante Agyemang, Ms Sarah Bamfo and Mr. Samuel Kyei Asher donated over 120 school uniforms, over 500 exercise books, 100 ball pens and about 250 pencils to the pupils of the school. This, according to the officers from Kiddikare is to help the pupils in the school to feel comfortable and be able to study to become the future leaders of the country. Commenting on how they scouted the school, the group commending the efforts of the headteacher of the school for his continuous efforts in searching for help for the school and connecting with them for the gesture to be done.

Speaking at the short ceremony held at the school premises, Mr. Cephas Agbaga (SISO, Mankrong B Circuit) acknowledged the efforts of the group on behalf of the school and the District Education Directorate. The headteacher, Mr. Isaac Ahari also commended the efforts of the officers from Kiddiekare for such a gesture to the school. He added that, he will make sure all the things are put to use and become beneficial to the pupils, the school and the community. “These uniforms and learning materials is really going to affect academic performance positively, and I will particularly make sure they are put into proper use” – Mr. Ahari said.

The program was also attended by the chief of Sasakwaa community, Nana Kwaku Baah, Executives of the Parent Teacher Association and School Management Committee, parents and townspeople, as well as teachers in the school.
