The profile of Mclord Ice Impraim, Ghanaian top filmmaker.
He started as rap musician in a rap group AKASANOMA with T – Tayo and were sign by Slim Buster record label after they won their talent hunt competition at King Solomon Dansoman which was paid by Barima sidney then in Nananom rap group.
He quit rap music but didn’t quit entertainment because that is in his family since his grandfather Osei Kwame was a big musician hence his direct cousins BARIMA SIDNEY AND REGGY ROCKSTONE both successful musicians.
Years later letter in London he and his bosom friend Richard aka Hippiy or Hip Rich a music producer set up Rich City Music Studio at Dansoman under the Ace Producer Jay-Q.
With Rich and Jay – Q as music producers Sidney advice he take up the video production side due to his deep creativity gift. Hence in 2006 he set up the Eagle Sight Productions Ltd by the help of his close and loved cousin Barima Sidney who bought some monitors and stuff for video production from Hubert Kofi-Anti aka Hubeat the ACE music producer and also help from the partner and sister Josephine Impraim in London who bought the camera.
Business was successful with hit music videos from Akoonana – MUGU – music video, Reggy ZIPPY- BADMAN music video, Barima Sidney Donkomi music video, One Day of Barima Sidney shot in South Africa, Awuchie Kpongor music video for Barima Sidney and many more.
During the shoot of Barima Sidney Awuchie Kpongo he introduce me to Nana Ama MacBrown and Nana advice him to quickly shift into the then fast rising Ghana movies due to my professionalism. She told him to target the international and the global platform.
Years later he met Opam founder of GAMI VISION GHANA and ASBOWA ASORG executive both film producers after seeing his works on the film Bed of Roses. In 2016 his Godfather produced his first feature film THE AWAKEN which Mclord directed, after he directed THE BOX . Both films hit box office on Silver Bird cinemas.
So Opam invited Mclord to join the Film Directors Guild of Ghana, where he met his new partner and friend Haruna Seidu Soale aka Zoree. Mclord was later elected to be the greater Accra vice chairman of the association which Zoree was the greater Accra Chairman. He contested for presidential race and later became the The National Chairman for Training and workshop committee of the film directors guild.
During same time he met Ronnie Ato Paintsil aka Afrikaba Ronnie and with him and Zoree teaming together to greater things. With Zoree he serve as the Script Supervisor for Borga produced by Danny Damah and since he have been working on many other projects, including project from Afriwood media founded by Zoree and Eagle Sight Productions
