The Local Organizing Committee Of The National Festival Of Art And Culture Meets Ahead Of The 60Th Anniversary.

The Local Organising Committees (LOC)of the National Festival of Art and Culture (NAFAC)at 60 celebration to be held in Adisadel School Park in Cape Coast this year had met to deliberate on preparations ahead.

In her welcome address, the Central Regional Minister, Honourable Mrs. Justina Marigold Assan who chaired the meeting expressed her gratitude for third meeting, which she indicated would prepare Committees adequately to coordinate the coming event in the region.

she assured members that the region had done it before and was ready to do it again.

“This year’s event requires extra commitment , extra involvement and each and every one should be part of this important event”, she urged.

Mrs Assan called for support from members and stakeholders to come together and make this year’s NAFAC a very memorable one.

Present to grace this third meeting were, Osaberimba Kwesi Atta II, Paramount Chief of the Oguaa Traditional Area, Nana Kweku Adu III of Oguaaa Traditional area, Osagyefo Amanfo Adu VI, Omanhen of Mankesim, Nana Amba Eyiaba I, Krontihemaa of Oguaaa Traditional Area and Nana Ekua Apeaatsawah II of Abura State.

The Executive Director of the National Commission On Culture, Madam Janet Edna Nyame also expressed the Commission’s appreciation in the effort being put in place to organize this upcoming event.

“Since we are not in normal times we are to cut cost and do things accordingly, she appealed.

Madame Nyame informed that the Minister of finance was yet to release funds for the event.

She however called on Committees to try and look elsewhere for sponsorship to organize this upcoming event.

The thirteen member Sub-Committees presented their reports and budgets respectively.
