Nana Boakye Yiadom II Enhances Healthcare and Community Development in Kwahyia.

In a remarkable gesture of community commitment and service, Nana Boakye Yiadom II, the esteemed Nkosuhene of Kwahyia in the Suhum Municipality of the Eastern Region, recently commemorated his five years anniversary since his installation by providing essential equipment to the Kwahyia CHPS compound. This significant act not only marks a personal milestone but also underscores his dedication to the welfare and development of the community he serves.

The donation included crucial items such as a hospital bed, a 32-inch LED television, and the installation of a hospital signpost proudly bearing the name of the Kwahyia CHPS compound. These contributions address longstanding challenges faced by the healthcare facility, which has operated without essential equipment such as a bed, pulse oximeter, BP apparatus, and even a proper signpost, hindering effective healthcare delivery in the area.

Irene Ntiamoah, the midwife and facility head of Kwahyia CHPS, expressed heartfelt gratitude for the donated items, emphasizing their immediate impact on patient care. She noted that the provision of a hospital bed would enable the facility to detain patients onsite, improving the quality of care and recovery process. Additionally, the installation of a signpost would facilitate better accessibility to the CHPS compound, addressing previous challenges in locating the facility.

Nana Boakye Yiadom II reaffirmed his commitment to leveraging his position as Nkosuhene to support both the health and educational needs of the community and beyond. Recognizing the importance of collaboration between traditional leadership and government institutions, he emphasized the need to work together to enhance education and healthcare facilities for the benefit of all residents.

The Chief of Kwahyia, Baafour Asare Ayisi, commended Nana Boakye Yiadom II for his unwavering support and dedication to the community. While expressing appreciation for the recent contributions, he also highlighted the pressing issue of road infrastructure, particularly the deplorable condition of roads affecting the transportation of farm produce to the Suhum market. This underscores the multifaceted challenges facing rural communities and the ongoing efforts needed for holistic development.

Nana Boakye Yiadom II’s initiative serves as a shining example of grassroots leadership and community empowerment. Through his actions, he not only improves healthcare accessibility but also fosters a spirit of collaboration and progress within Kwahyia and beyond. As he continues his journey of service, his impact resonates far beyond his tenure, leaving a lasting legacy of positive change and empowerment.
