Lawrence Agyinsam, approved by the EC following the submission of his parliamentary candidate nomination forms.

On Monday, September 9, 2024, nomination forms were submitted in accordance with an order from the European Commission sent to all parliamentary candidates and flag bearers of their respective political parties nationwide.

Following a successful nomination form filing, the Electoral Commission has officially recognized Exim Bank CEO Lawrence Kwabena Agyinsam as the New Patriotic Party’s parliamentary candidate for the Central Region’s Twifo Hemang Lower Denkyira Constituency in the forthcoming 2024 general election.

In the meantime, Lawrence Kwabena Agyinsam’s began with a massive float through Jukwa’s main streets and ended at the district’s EC office.

Following the filing of his form, Lawrence Agyinsam pleaded with the district’s EC personnel to continue being the unbiased and equitable body for which the nation is renowned in order to guarantee a free and transparent general election on December 7, 2024.

Twifo Hemang Lower Denkyira’s District EC Officer, Efeh Ephson, recalled that two candidates had submitted nomination papers on the day of form filing.

Specifically, Attorney Seth Agyapong Mensah of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and that of the NPP PC, since there was no Independent candidate registered to run in the district.

She used the occasion to wish for a peaceful district election in 2024 and counseled the two parliamentary candidates’ supporters to refrain from using any kind of violence while conducting their campaigns.

During a media engagement, Aliu Sumaila, the NPP organizer for Twifo Hemang Lower Denkyira and Lawrence Agyinsam’s personal assistant, said of the PC that he is driven by a passion to serve. He has become a household name in the district thanks to his unwavering support and selfless dedication to constituents over the last twenty years, even before his election as this year’s first PC.

DCE for the constituency, Hon. Nana Kweku Abban, in adding his voice, eulogized the number of constituents who trooped to follow Lawrence Agyinsam in filing his nomination forms to the EC, attesting to it that the PC is a unifier who, through the spirit of oneness, has drawn all onboard to the common goal of retaining the parliamentary and presidential seats for the NPP in the upcoming polls.
