William Amponsah honors his first coach.
The top Ghanaian long distance runner William Amponsah and his team las weekend has a special party for themselves and all who have contributed their well-being.
William in his appreciation summary said these to recognize a special person in his life;
I never knew I have talent until Mr Raphael Darko chased me out of the classroom to run. After coming last on the 100m race he still asked me to try the next race which I had no idea of 1500m which I came out first for my first time overlapping The champion in the school.
At the DAAKYE end of year party Mr Charles Abeiku Forson the CEO of Daakye runners club and the Chairman Mr Bright Annan genuinely appreciated and welcomed him to the team. .
Mr Charles Abeiku Forson outlined the achievement of the club so far the ups and downs, the disappointment and appreciation moments so far. But he told the team members, friends and families with Christ there’s crisis, and nothing great comes easily. He assured them of future plans and said our future is bright.
He calls for more home and national support for Amponsah. He acknowledged Dr. Daniel Akyea Asomani over the mapong camping land , NANA Osompa ll the chief of Agona Oteprew for the land for Daakye sport complex, Malcolm kwaku Forson the CEO of CLk
And other important personalities at the party.
Daakye runners assured Ghana for a sure gold in the nearest future in Olympics.
