President Akuffo-Addo awards Ghana Olympic Team.
On Friday, 20th August 2021, Ghana’s contingent at the just ended Tokyo Olympic Games paid a courtesy call on at me Jubilee House, the seat of the nation’s presidency.
The President congratulated them on their performance, and announced that each member of the team will receive a reward of five thousand dollars ($5,000), of which three thousand dollars ($3,000) will be given to you, and two thousand dollars ($2,000) used as an investment for you;
The medallist, Samuel Takyi, will receive a car, ten thousand dollars ($10,000), and an additional twenty thousand dollars ($20,000) put in a career development fund for him, for the next Olympic games and future tournaments.
