Ghanaian highlife legend, Joe Osei has raised praises on Kofi Kinaata on his ability to compose sweet songs on the spot and that makes him his favourite highlife musician now.
Speaking to Djqwequ on Ahomka FM in Elmina, the Bala Bala crooner stated that, when it comes to listening to good highlife songs now, Kofi is his favourite followed by Kuami Eugene and the rest reason been that, he loves his style of writing and song arrangement.
“I listen to kofi Kinaata’s songs more and sometimes, Kuami Eugene but Kofi is my favourite because I love how he write his songs and has taken his time to listen to old highlife and study it and has blend it with unique taste for the new generation. Kofi is very special and I believe he will sustain our highlife legacy.
He added that, Kofi is gifted with a unique spiritual blessing to be able to perform any song on the spot with any live band. All he need is good band.
“Kofi has a spiritual blessing. If he enters your studio with your band ready on the spot with unknown beat, I can see Kofi coming in and can easily produce sweet melody at that moment. He can compose songs considering the people around, the environment, the current situation easily. Kuami Eugene can also do that very easily.
