Kay Mena is a new breed of reggae and dancehall artiste. He’s not afraid of experimenting with different sounds and styles. His latest single “CAPONE” is a perfect example of this as it features a perfect sound. The song was produced by prolific Ghanaian producer King 2 Beat.
Kay Mena is an artiste signed to Black Music Entertainment, a music company based in Kasoa, Ghana. He is popularly known for his lyrical prowess and ability to control the crowd on stage. He has been in the industry for over few years and has just released his latest single “CAPONE” this year which is a dancehall song with reggae influences.
Reggae music is a genre of Jamaican music that originated in the late 1960s. It was first popularized by Bob Marley and The Wailers and then later on by other artists such as Shaggy, Sean Paul, and Beres Hammond. Dancehall on the other hand originated from Jamaica as well but was developed in the 1980s by artists such as Barrington Levy and Eek-A-Mouse.
