DJs can still play my old songs, but I won’t perform them on any stage. – Aunty Essy
Now gospel artiste, Aunty Essy has revealed in her recent interview that her old songs can be played anywhere, but performing them on stage is a no for her now.
Disclosing to Dj Qwequ on Ahomka 99.5 FM, the newly turned gospel artiste made it clear that her old songs represent her old life as a secular artiste and won’t stop Djs from playing them, but whenever she mounts a stage, her new gospel songs will be performed.
‘Djs can still play my old songs, and I won’t question or stop them, but I won’t be on any stage now to perform my old songs I did as a secular artiste. This is my personal decision, not influenced by any other person’.
Adding that, since she is now a gospel artiste, she has decided to ignore everything she did when she was a secular artiste and has turned away from such and never will she go back to that.
‘Am now a gospel artiste and also have been a deaconess at my church for almost a year, and on that note, it won’t be necessary for me to associate myself with my old life again.’
