Award-winning rapper Sarkodie, born Michael Owusu Addo, has received a surprise birthday message from Shatta Wale. The two had a dramatic chat when they ‘reunited’ on Hitz FM
The Ofeetso hitmaker has turned a year older today, Friday, July 10, 2020, he is in a celebratory mood. As part of his birthday activities, Sarkodie got a call from Andy Dosty on his Daybreak Hitz show on Hitz FM.
After Andy Dosty said his wishes to Sarkodie and congratulated him on his new age, the two started talking about Sarkodie’s plans amid COVID-19.
Not long into their conversation, Andy Dosty brought Shatta Wale online to join their conversation.
Shatta Wale who was in a very jovial mood could be heard describing Sarkodie as his boss and asking if he should bring the car after washing it.
Sarkodie replied that he should bring the car and also bring his gift even though he was not going to allow him to enter his house because of social distancing.
“You can come home but you will not enter because of the virus. So you throw whatever you brought over the gate and text me,” Sarkodie.
Shatta Wale who accepted Sarkodie’s proposition shouted happy birthday before discounting the notion that he and Sarkodie were at loggerheads.
“Me and Sarkodie we are actors oo! He is my brother and everything. This is how we talk everyday oo. Today I dey fill Sark, my Snap everywhere,” Shatta Wale said.
Shatta Wale’s celebration of Sarkodie will come as a surprise to many as the two have not got along for close to two years.
Although they were very good friends, their relationship turned sour in 2018 with Sarkodie doing his Advice diss song for Shatta Wale after a series of jabs from the latter.
Shatta Wale refused to reply with a song but rather bought a Mercedes Benz and customised the number plate ADVICE-1 – 18 to tease Sarkodie.
Since that time, the two have not had any public interactions and have been throwing jabs at each other.
