KISSI Astroturf: NPP should be ashamed to commission projects they know nothing about – Hon. Samuel Atta Mills, MP for KEEA

MP for KEEA municipality, Hon. Samuel Atta Mills, has voiced out his displeasure on why the presidential candidate for the NPP and the sitting vice president of Ghana, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, should commission a project his government has no idea of the genesis of the project.

Speaking to the media, the MP for KEEA municipality made it known that he is solely responsible for the Astroturf project, has all documentation, and is even planning on purchasing a transformer for them in order to give full light to the people of Kissi and the park.

“The people of Kissi sent a letter requesting a transformer to my office to provide GHC231,000 to mount the transformer. This will prevent low current to the people of Kissi when ever the flood light is switched on. Why didn’t they send it to Bawumia or my counterpart if they are truly responsible for it? If I know nothing about the park, why was the letter sent to my office? This is an insult to the people of KEEA.”

He added that the proposals for changing rooms and seats for the park were rejected by Ghana Gas because their people here told Akufo Addo to make sure the contract doesn’t come to me.

He concluded by adding that it’s a shame for them to commission a project without inviting the town chiefs and elders to witness it.

“Bawumia and his NPP people should be ashamed to commission a project without inviting the chiefs and elders of the land to witness it. How is it possible that no chief was present during the commissioning? They should bow down their heads in shame.
