The National Insurance Commission, Central Region, celebrates insurance awareness month through fun games.

The National Insurance Commission-Central Region last Saturday crowned their insurance awareness month with fun games held at the Play Soccer Ghana at Cape Coast.

The central regional office of the National Insurance Commission Ghana allocated the whole of August as their awareness month, advocating to the good people of the central region on the need to work with an insurance commission without considering their field or office. Championing the microinsurance education, which is out to all workers, especially traders, fishermen, tailors, and small-scale offices.

Speaking to the media, the area manager for the National Insurance Commission, Central Region, Nicholina Naa Yeye Adumuah, explained that the month has been fruitful considering the effort championed into creating and making sure the public continues to work with the insurance commission.

As part of the commission’s social responsibility, the commission made donations to Osaberima Kwesi Atta II as part of the 60-year anniversary celebrations and also to the Cape Coast District Hospital at Bakaano, Cape Coast.

The theme centered on inclusivity and accessibility makes sure that an environment is created to ensure that everybody is captured to partake in insurance and also be able to access insurance as and when they need to.

She educated and urged all to get insured, especially the microinsurance scheme.

‘People fell that insurance is for those who do monthly work and earn monthly, but we are talking about everybody, and that’s the inclusivity. This calls for us to embrace all to enjoy the benefit of insurance.’

The marine insurance is also available for export and import to ensure smooth operation when such needs arise.
